DCNS increased its involvement in marine renewable energies in March 2012, by becoming a partner of “France Energies Marines” institute. As part of this collaboration, these two entities will showcase their developments at Renewable Energy Exhibition (EnR), in Paris (3rd to 5th of April 2012).
DCNS decided to actively support the creation of “France Energies Marines”, institute that is meant to stimulate French competitiveness in the Marine Renewable Energies field.
Thus, 58 industrial companies, research institutes and regional councils in littoral areas, will work in close collaboration to develop a wide range of Marine Renewable Energies technologies, responding to the increasing needs of that sector.
France Energies Marines was named as part of the French government’s call for projects laureates (“Excellence institutes for decarbonated energies”).
DCNS will illustrate its involvement in the project, by showcasing its four marine renewable energy technologies on France Energy Marines’ booth, at Renewable Energy Exhibition in Paris, from the 3rd to the 5th of April 2012:
– Offshore wind
– Tidal stream energy
– Ocean Thermal Energy Conversion (OTEC)
– Wave energy
