Iraida Dolgusheva is suspected of fraud.
The criminal cases of former Mari El Governor Leonid Markelov and former Head of the regional Ministry of Agriculture Iraida Dolgusheva are consolidated.
As it became known today at the court, where the petition for absentee arrest of another person was considered, the case against the ex-official was initiated as early as April 3.
The regional ICR reported that in April in the Ministry of Agriculture of Mari El there were searches on the case of Official Forgery of documents (part 1 of Article 292 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). According to the investigation’s version, in 2015 Dolgusheva, who at that time held the post of the First Deputy Minister, provided false information to the Poultry Farm Akashevskaya LLC three times, on the basis of which the organization received loans. Meanwhile, the measure of restraint is unknown.
As for the trial, where new facts were disclosed, the Basmanny Court of the capital examines the petition of the investigation about the absentee arrest of businessman Nikolay Krivash, who acted as a bribe-giver. The court had already issued a warrant for the arrest of a businessman, but subsequently the Moscow City Court reversed this decision. Meanwhile, Krivash was put on the wanted list.
As the CrimeRussia wrote earlier, Leonid Markelov received more than 235 million rubles ($3.9m) through his confidant, Natalia Kozhanov, from the founder of agroholding Akashevskaya Nikolay Krivash for patronage and assistance in the payment of state support. The fraud was disclosed when Krivash decided to get rid of the poultry farm. Before buying Akashevo, the future new owner of the enterprise made an audit and found documents that showed illegally received subsidies and their siphon-off. The information was reported to the FSB, after which Minister of Agriculture of Mari El Iraida Dolgusheva resigned, and Nikolay Krivash urgently went abroad for treatment.
Acting as a mediator in bribery Kozhanova is in custody. Markelov was also arrested and remains in the Lefortovo detention center.
