GALKA’YO (Mareeg) – Unknown armed men have attacked some of Somalia pirates on the in the main land central Somalia killing at least two and wounding three others, reports said on Wednesday.
The death and injuries occurred after the pirates’ luxury car came under fire from the armed men whose identities were not known.
The deadly incident took place in parts of Galka’yo town, about 700 kilometers north of the seaside Mogadishu.
Reports say the assailants escaped from the scene immediately after the shooting.
Officials from Gal-mudug state confirmed the incident, saying that investigations and search operations about the shooting are underway.
