Joe Crowley meets Bryan and Mari-Ann Kaushiva who have bought a dilapidated old stone laundry school in Yorkshire that has been empty since 1975.
Their ambitious plan is to turn it into a modern open plan home for their young family but as first time renovators with full time jobs and two small children, they have a lot on their plate.
Joe introduces them to a couple who bought a detached grade 2 listed Georgian farmhouse in Shropshire that had been standing empty for 4 years. Despite its dilapidated condition they could see its enormous charm and potential and have already lived through some of the many of the problems facing Bryan and Mari-Ann.
